Blake | Hortonville HS

I would say that 98% of the boys I schedule for senior sessions are very reluctant to have them done and Blake was no exception. They come into the session with little excitement and are, honestly, doing this for mom. I can say that 100% of these sessions turn out amazing once they see the first few shots they have taken.

We started Blake's session in Downtown Neenah, Wisconsin. There is a wonderful church with a beautiful little garden on the side of it and it has a wonderful large entryway with arches and lanterns. We then headed across the street to a fun alleyway that is one of my favorite spots to photograph. It has amazing textures and lights and I love the color of the brick. This area also had a nice burgundy set of metal stairs that add some color to images.

We then headed down the road to Kimberly Point Lighthouse Park to get some shots on Lake Winnebago. Blake loves to duck hunt, and this worked out perfectly because the ducks were flying and swimming all around us. At times, I have to admit, it was hard to keep his attention, but some of these shots were my favorite of him at this location. It is always so important to capture seniors in their element and seeing the ducks brought out the best smiles from Blake.

We finished the session off at Lion's Park in Greenville, WI. This time of year, the colors are just incredible, and this gives a nice nature feel to images. I love this spot year-round, but especially in late summer and fall.

What was really special about this session was that his little sister tagged along to help him with his wardrobe, so I had to capture a photo of the two of them.
