When I met Claire during her consultation and got to know her a bit, I just knew her session was going to be classic. She had that effortless, timeless feel about her from the very beginning. After talking through what she was hoping for in her photos, we decided that doing her entire session at Scheig Gardens would be absolutely perfect—and it truly was. With the variety of flowers, trees, winding paths, and the beautiful open field, it offered everything we could have wanted.


Her first two outfits were spot on for the locations we started with—casual, comfortable, and so down to earth. After just a few shots, she was completely relaxed and absolutely nailing every pose. Her second outfit, a burgundy top paired with a white skirt, was so pretty among the flowers, and I’m so glad we were able to catch a bit of the sun setting behind the building. That soft light added the most beautiful glow.


When she changed into her final outfit for the field, I knew those images were going to be something special. She looked like she truly belonged walking and sitting among the tall grass—so natural and effortless. And I have to mention her hair… those curls! Simply amazing.


Spending the evening with Claire and her mom was such a joy. They were two of the sweetest people, and it was so wonderful getting to know them. Sessions like this are exactly why I’m reminded how lucky I am to do what I do.
