Downtown and Nature

Some of my favorite senior sessions are the ones where we start in an urban setting and then move to a nature setting. Urban sessions are the best. The light is amazing as it bounces back onto the subject, and I love all of the textures and light. However, there something about being in nature when the sun is getting ready to set. It is just so amazing. The combination of the two makes for a perfect session.

We started Jade's session in Downtown Appleton. I forgot that it was the first night of Mile of Music, one of the largest music festivals in our area. I thought we would have some trouble working around it, but it was the opposite. There was incredible music going on and you could feel the energy around town. Some of the people even wanted to jump in on her photos. This little part of Appleton is one of my favorite spots. It has two wonderful alleys and a cute little coffee shop to pose in front of. Jade looked amazing in her white jeans and halter top! 

Murals are the best!

In this area of Appleton there are a few wonderful murals. Appleton is full of murals and art which makes things so fun. I love the colors in these murals, and one is located by a wonderful staircase and beautiful brick wall.

Bubolz Nature Preserve

We ended this session at Bubolz Nature Preserve in Grand Chute. I love this spot because it has so much variety: water, tall grass, a log cabin, tall pines, trails and grass. It has some of the best sunsets! If I am lucky enough to have decent light after the sun has gone down, I can sometimes capture the moon in a photo, too. I adored Jade's outfits in this location. She wore a very casual pair of jeans and beautiful top and then ended in a very pretty and flowy dress. Those are the best for photos!
