Maris’s Senior Session | A Session Full of Personality, Memories & Magic



Maris’s senior session was so much fun and truly one of a kind! I absolutely loved how she incorporated some of her favorite things from today, along with special pieces of her childhood. Senior year is such a meaningful time to look back, reflect on the things that have shaped you, and celebrate all the little things that make you who you are. Maris did exactly that, and it made her session so special!

We started the day at Bubolz Nature Preserve, where Maris’s beautiful white dress was the perfect choice for the backdrop of flowers and gorgeous greenery. We captured some stunning portraits surrounded by nature, but some of my favorite moments were the ones that included her beloved stuffie and her amazing collection of American Girl dolls! I loved that she brought along these special pieces of her childhood to incorporate into her senior photos. These personal touches made her session feel so uniquely her.

From there, we headed to downtown Neenah for a completely different look! I loved Maris’s casual outfit for these urban-inspired photos. And can we talk about her AMAZING hair?! Seriously, I was so jealous! We also had some fun incorporating a few more of her favorite things, including her swim cap and goggles, along with her adorable Disney jersey. I love when seniors bring their own ideas and interests to their sessions because it gives us a chance to create images that reflect their personalities and the things they love most.

Next, we made our way to the lake, where Maris wore my gorgeous pink tulle skirt. This look was absolutely perfect for the setting! The soft, flowing tulle against the beautiful lake backdrop made her look like a princess. I always love photographing at this location, and it was so much fun to see Maris bring this look to life. The combination of the dreamy skirt and the natural beauty surrounding us made for some truly magical portraits!

We wrapped up the session at Arrowhead Park, one of my all-time favorite fields. The tall grasses were the perfect backdrop for Maris’s beautiful yellow dress, and the color looked amazing against the natural tones of the field. It was such a beautiful way to end a session filled with so many different looks, locations, and personal touches.

Maris’s senior session was the perfect reminder that senior photos can be about so much more than just a pretty outfit and a beautiful location. They can tell a story, celebrate your personality, and capture the things that have made you who you are. From childhood treasures to current favorites, every detail of Maris’s session was thoughtfully chosen and full of meaning.


I truly could not have asked for a better session or a more lovely girl to work with than Maris! It was such a joy to photograph her, get to know her through all the little details she brought along, and create images that celebrate this exciting chapter of her life.
