From the moment I met Mary at her consultation, I knew she was something special. She radiates joy, kindness, and genuine excitement—the kind of energy that makes you instantly look forward to working together. I remember editing her images and smiling the entire time. Every photo feels relaxed, carefree, and full of her infectious smile.


We began her session at Scheig Gardens in Appleton, surrounded by the gorgeous blooms that make this spot such a dream. We were rained on a few times and found ourselves taking shelter under the eaves, but you’d never know it from the photos. Mary brought sunshine with her.


After the gardens, we made our way to downtown Neenah and visited two of my favorite locations there. And of course, that alley I’ll never get enough of—it delivered its magic once again. We even captured a few images with her guitar so she can promote her music, which felt like the perfect personal touch.


We wrapped up the session in a beautiful field in Neenah, right as the sunset gave us its best light. These truly are some of my favorite images from the day (though, honestly, I love them all). They show Mary’s joyful spirit so clearly, and I adore how effortlessly carefree she is in every frame.
